    Physicians with the Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM) provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses in a progressive outpatient setting. They are also provided the opportunity to grow the next generation of physicians through hands-on instruction of residents, fellows, and medical students.

    GIM prides itself on building a team of empathetic and collaborative primary care providers across the city of Madison and at beyond. Successful candidates will demonstrate not only their comprehensive clinical knowledge, but their ability to build long-lasting, trusting relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences.     Qualifications:

    For appointment at Associate Professor rank on CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate on the CHS Track.

    For appointment at Clinical Associate Professor rank on CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate on the CT Track.

    Education:

    Required
    Terminal Degree
    MD, DO, or equivalent.

    License/Certification:

    Required

    Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Expectation is to Board Certified within the first two years of appointment.

    Must be eligible for a Wisconsin medical license.
