Carlsbad Medical Center in Carlsbad, New Mexico is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified General Orthopedic Surgeon to join our thriving multispecialty group serving the southeastern New Mexico community.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
- Full-time, hospital employed position (no locums or part-time)
- Level III facility
- General orthopedics with some trauma, total joints, and hand
- 1:3 call rotation with an experienced orthopedic team
- 8 operating rooms with dedicated orthopedic block time and 24/7 anesthesia coverage
- High volume opportunity with quick ramp-up, joining a well-established and reputable group
- Supportive environment with a strong referral base from local PCPs and specialists
- Office space conveniently located within walking distance of the hospital campus
- Robust onboarding, marketing, and physician outreach support
- Strong clinical and administrative support
- Dedicated medical assistant from day one, additional support added as volume grows
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Board-certified or board-eligible in orthopedic surgery
- Completion of U.S. residency training required
- Experience preferred, but strong new graduates will be considered
- Ability to perform general orthopedic procedures, including trauma and total joints
- Eligible for New Mexico medical licensure
- J1 visa support available
