Job Summary:
Norton Children’s, affiliated with the University of Louisville School of Medicine, is seeking compassionate and highly skilled Pediatric General Anesthesiologists to join its growing pediatric anesthesia program in Louisville, Kentucky. Physicians have the flexibility to choose between an all-clinical track or a combined clinical and academic track, offering opportunities to pursue research, medical education, advocacy, quality improvement, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthetic care for pediatric patients across inpatient and outpatient surgical settings
- Deliver comprehensive sedation services for a broad range of pediatric procedures
- Collaborate closely with pediatric surgeons, neonatologists, intensivists, and multidisciplinary specialty teams
- Support care within a Level IV NICU with 101 beds
- Participate in anesthetic care for more than 18,000 pediatric patients annually
- Contribute to patient safety initiatives, quality improvement efforts, and clinical excellence
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Participate in mentorship, team collaboration, and program development initiatives
- For physicians on the academic track, engage in:
- Clinical or translational research
- Medical education and teaching
- Child advocacy initiatives
- Community engagement programs
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Completion of residency and fellowship training in anesthesiology/pediatric anesthesiology
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Anesthesiology
- Kentucky medical license or license eligible
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to high-quality pediatric patient care
