This is a unique opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to practice with a high level of autonomy while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Position Overview
- Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts (Monday–Friday)
- FTE: Full-time (1.0)
- Setting: Mix of inpatient, outpatient burn clinic, and wound healing center
- Call: None
- Weekends/Holidays: None
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide care across burn clinic, inpatient service, and wound healing center
- Typical rotation:
- 2 weeks burn clinic
- 2 weeks inpatient
- 2 weeks wound clinic
- 1-2 OR days per month
- Manage your own clinic with a high degree of clinical autonomy
- Collaborate closely with a large, multidisciplinary team including rehab and surgical services
- Participate in OR cases (rotational, not weekly)
- Engage in clinical research and opportunities to present at conferences
Training & Support
- Supportive team environment with strong APP and physician collaboration
- Established program with low turnover and long-tenured providers
Ideal Candidate
- PA-C or ACNP – NP needs first assist certification prior to starting
- Open to new grads with relevant training or experienced providers
- Background in ICU, trauma, plastics, surgery, or related field preferred
- OR experience preferred for PAs
- Strong leadership ability
- Interest in research and continued learning is a plus

Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program
- Ability to obtain and maintain MD and DC licensure
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency

This position has a hiring range of
USD $115,000.00 - USD $143,619.00 /Yr.

Compensation Details
$115K–$143K
The hiring range is the range MedStar Health, in good faith, believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
