Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Radiology, is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Interventional Radiologist to join our team.
The Division of Interventional Radiology is a section of the Department of Radiology at Loma Linda University, providing a wide variety of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions covering the full range of clinical conditions and patient ages. This robust practice provides care through the full spectrum of interventional radiology service lines, including vascular disease through a collaborative relationship with vascular surgery.
Currently staffed by 7 board-certified IRs, this division provides care at seven hospitals, including two level 1 trauma centers, a dedicated pediatric hospital and two thriving community hospitals (Redlands and Murrietta), a surgical center providing both ambulatory and short-term inpatient surgical care, and East Campus for longer term admissions.
IR at Loma Linda is a fully clinical practice, with all inpatient procedures requiring formal consultation of the IR service, and all outpatient requests being triaged for consideration of either in-person or virtual clinic prior to scheduling their possible procedure. Each day begins with a morning conference at 8:00 am, where the procedures scheduled for the day are presented by the residents and the indications and approaches are discussed with the attendings on duty that day. Procedural working hours are typically 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, with the on-call faculty staying to finish the remaining procedures (if any). Call is one weekday at a time Monday through Thursday, and weekends (Fri 5 p.m. - Mon 8 a.m.) divided evenly amongst the faculty. IR faculty are generally provided one academic day each week. Salary is competitive for academic practices in the region, and some internal moonlighting opportunities are available.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Post-graduate training in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology from an ACGME -accredited U.S. training programs (either IR/DR residency, a DR residency followed by an independent IR residency, or a DR residency and an IR fellowship). • Board eligible or certified by American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR) • Licensed or has the ability to obtain a license in the state of California
Compensation & Benefits
Expected Total Annual Compensation: $450,000 - $550,000
The compensation range listed above includes variable compensation and is based on a 1.0 FTE work schedule/effort, as outlined in the individual department compensation plan. The compensation range for starting base compensation only, which is adjusted in accordance with years of experience and/or faculty rank, is expected to be $250,000 - $338,000. More information on compensation is discussed with the department during the recruitment process.
