Locum Tenens Cardiothoracic Surgery Opening in Illinois

Epic Physician Staffing has a Cardiovascular & Thoracic opening in Southern Illinois for sporadic vacation and holiday coverage.

• Level 1 Trauma Center, 433 beds
• Illinois Licensed Required
• BC required. BE considered but only those that are less than 2 years out successfully completing training program and have not yet sat/failed the boards.
• APPROXIMATELY  5-7 surgical cases per week, 10 consults a week
• 24 hr call
• Weekly Clinic Day may include: New Patient Consults, Basic Office Visits, Pre & Post-Op Visits.
• We need a surgeon that can perform coronary artery bypass, aortic valve replacement, mitral valve replacement, left atrial, appendage repair, aortic root replacement/repair, thoracotomy, lung resection, lobectomy.
• This is a teaching hospital – provider maybe asked to participate with students. Locum providers can do elective cases while they are covering.
