Norton Children's Nephrology, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, and a part of Norton Children’s Medical Group, seeks a board-certified/board-eligible, fellowship-trained pediatric nephrologist. The selected candidate will function as part of a dynamic, growing team dedicated to meeting the needs of children through clinical care, research, education and advocacy. We are looking for candidates who wish to join our expanding and dynamic pediatric nephrology program, where innovation and a dedication to caring for children with kidney diseases and hypertension are highly valued. The pediatric nephrology service currently covers the 300-bed Norton Children’s Hospital, the region’s only free-standing, full-service pediatric hospital, and an outpatient clinic at Novak Center for Children’s Health.
The University of Louisville School of Medicine shares a vision with Norton Children’s Medical Group to grow and further expand our practice and the Division of Pediatric Nephrology, which is part of the medical school’s department of pediatrics. The pediatric nephrologist who joins our team of physicians and staff will have access to a broad range of clinical and academic pediatric nephrology services.

About the Position
- Variety of practice pathways available in dialysis, renal transplantation, chronic kidney diseases and hypertension
- Participation in multidisciplinary clinics for comprehensive care of children with hypertension and kidney diseases
- Leadership and service line expansion opportunities through outpatient clinical projects
- Opportunity to develop research in various areas of nephrology, such as dialysis, transplantation, chronic kidney diseases, hypertension and glomerular diseases
- Faculty position through the UofL School of Medicine teaching medical students and residents in pediatrics and internal medicine/pediatrics
