Location: Augusta, GA

Hospital Details: Level 1 trauma, 478 beds

​

Reason for Coverage:  A perm provider is leaving in August. They need locum coverage for the Heart Failure and VAD Programs

​

Start:  Summer or early Fall. Need 1-2 weeks per month (does not have to be consecutive) 

​

Weekly Schedule:  Clinic Work Schedule: 

Mon – Thurs 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm; Fri 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

​

Hospital Schedule: – Inpatient VAD Rounds/Heart Failure Consults Mon – Thurs 8:00 am – 12:00 pm; Fri 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Call Schedule (if applicable) 24 hr VAD Call – 7 days consecutive Mon-Sun

​

Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days (might be possible for temp privs)

​

Job Details:

• Setting: Clinic and Hospital
• Average daily census: 1 VAD patient, average 1 VAD admission per week.  And 2 consults per half day; 10 clinic pts per half day
• VAD Call – CVICU Fellow support, In-patient VAD Rounds – CVICU Fellow, RN Coordinator Support In-patient Heart Failure Consults – Consult Fellow Support Heart Failure Clinic – RN Support
• 100% Adult Heart Failure patients
• EMR: EPIC
• Must be board-certified
• Must have an active GA medical license or active IMLC
• All travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are all covered
