Chief of ENT - To care for him who shall have borne the battle

Clinical Duties include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with medical diseases, accomplished through ambulatory and bed-based resources assigned to ENT Surgery.
- Actively participate in patient care through hospital rounds, morning reports, conferences, consultations, participation in ambulatory care and other similar activities.
- Responsible for coordinating and providing ENT surgery consultation throughout the medical center.
- Responsible for recruiting qualified physicians to perform comprehensive and specialized patient care and teaching.
- Responsible for being able to admit, work-up and treat either surgical or medical patients presenting with illness or injuries of the genitourinary systems.
- Participates in the selection and development of all resident physicians and insures that educational experiences of ENT Surgery are of the quality and quantity expected by relevant accrediting bodies.
- Provides comprehensive care for patients who have illnesses within the scope of ENT.
- Complete all electronic, clinical, daily charting and documentation required by the Medical Center in a timely manner.
- The scope of these activities covers hospitalized patients and all phases of ambulatory care.
- Other responsibilities may include education of medical students and residents and/or supervision of other providers.
Administrative:
- Morbidity and Mortality Committee, peer reviews, proctoring of staff, clinical performance and access measures, OPPE and FPPE, clinical pertinence reviews, performance evaluations and proficiency, and conducting staff meetings.
- Responsible for making long-range plans for the continuing function and development of the section and for development of sound and carefully documented organization plans and budget proposals for presentation to the Chief of Surgical Service and top management
- Other administrative duties as needed.
Work Schedule: 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Compensation Details
$200-375k
VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
