Cedars Sinai Medical Center (CSMC) is a world-renowned medical center and American College of Surgeons Verified Level I Trauma Hospital. Cedars is ranked #1 in California by US News and World Report and on the "Best Hospitals" honor roll for eight years in a row, and orthopaedics is ranked #2 in the nation. We are recruiting for an orthopaedic surgery faculty position in Hip Preservation and Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery. Experience and willingness to care for children with general lower extremity reconstruction and trauma along with hip preservation surgery in adults and children is desirable. An ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in resident education and/or research.

We are seeking candidates at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join our busy faculty team in the Department of Orthopaedics. CSMC is a 958-bed academic center with state-of-the-art surgical facilities and an accredited orthopaedic residency program.

This position will have a dual appointment in the Department of Pediatrics and join Cedar-Sinai Guerin Children’s. Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is advancing an ambitious vision for children’s healthcare, thanks to the generosity of the Shapell Guerin Family Foundation and its president, Vera Guerin. Propelled by this historic $100 million gift, the largest lifetime gift in Cedars-Sinai’s 119-year history, Cedars-Sinai Guerin Children’s will fill a critical gap in care for young patients in Los Angeles and beyond. It will provide primary and specialty care for patients as they grow from newborns to adolescents to adults. More babies are born at Cedars-Sinai than any other hospital in greater Los Angeles, insuring a robust clinical experience.

The position will include clinical, teaching and research opportunities. The strength of the program arises from a multi-disciplinary team of experts that includes more than 80 orthopaedic surgeons on the voluntary and full-time faculty many of whom hold national positions of leadership. We provide the full spectrum of care with specialized expertise in joint replacement, oncology, osteoporosis, pediatric, scoliosis, adult spine and trauma reconstruction programs. The orthopaedic and spine programs are nationally recognized for their contribution to minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Cedars-Sinai physicians and scientists are leaders in basic and clinical research, bringing advancements in medicine directly from the laboratory to the bedside. Opportunities for junior surgeons to collaborate with productive full-time researchers present a unique opportunity for the academically motivated surgeon. We are committed to expanding and strengthening our regional, national, and international reputation for delivering high value services at all sites of care. This mission has been furthered by the establishment of Cedars-Sinai Health System (CSHS), an expansive regional healthcare system.
