  • As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) within PrimeCare of Southeastern Ohio, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive and patient-centered care to individuals across a diverse spectrum of health conditions. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of clinical and educational duties aimed at promoting optimal health outcomes and enhancing patient well-being.

    ·         Diagnosing and treating a wide range of health conditions, including acute illnesses and chronic diseases, using advanced clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills.

    ·         Developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, incorporating evidence-based practices and considering patient preferences and values.

    ·         Providing patient education on lifestyle modifications, disease management strategies, and preventive health measures to promote optimal wellness and minimize disease progression.

    ·         Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests, imaging studies, and screenings, to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment decision-making.

    ·         Offering counseling and emotional support to patients and their families, addressing concerns, answering questions, and providing guidance on coping mechanisms and resources.

    ·         Prescribing medications, including medications for symptom management, disease control, and prevention, in accordance with state regulations and practice guidelines.

    ·         Performing thorough physical examinations to assess patient health status, identify abnormalities, and monitor changes in health over time.

    ·         Overseeing and coordinating all aspects of patient care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, specialists, and support staff to ensure continuity and effectiveness of care delivery.

    ·         Educating patients on preventive healthcare measures, such as vaccinations, screenings, and health screenings, to empower patients to take proactive steps in maintaining their health and well-being.

     

    Position requirements:

    ·         Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution

    ·         Current Ohio R.N. license

    ·         Current Ohio NP certificate

    ·         Current CPR certificate

    ·         DEA required for prescribing and dispensing

    ·         Clinical training in family medicine

    ·         Minimum of 3 years' experience as a NP in a family practice setting

    ·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    ·         Proficient computer skills. Knowledge of Epic system is a plus

    ·         Comply with all medical laws and HIPAA standards
