Job Duties:

The Division of Geriatrics & Gerontology, Department of Medicine, UW School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking applicants for a part-time assistant, associate or professor on the Clinician Teacher (CT) track. The successful candidate will join a world-class institution that encourages, values and supports interdisciplinary basic, clinical and population health research, and attracts scholars and students from around the world.

The faculty member will provide primary care at various skilled nursing facilities. The candidate will provide clinical teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows.

Madison is the state's capital city with a population of over 252,000, and offers an ideal combination of natural beauty, stimulating cultural events, outstanding schools and outdoor recreation.

  • This position is full or part time, 20%-40%
  • This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.
  • This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and repeated every four years.
  • Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Clinical Professor, Clinical Associate Professor. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.
  • Candidates who demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities, will be given be given first consideration

Required Qualifications:

  • WI medical license by start date of position.

  • Completion of a US internal medicine or family medicine by the start date of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS Track.

  • For an appointment at Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank on CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CT Track.

Education:

MD or DO, or equivalent is required
