SSM Health is seeking a dedicated General Neurologist to join our team in Jefferson City, Missouri, and establish our new neurology department. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to build a comprehensive neurology program from the ground up while serving the healthcare needs of our community.

Clinical Responsibilities:

As our General Neurologist, you will:

  • Diagnose, treat, and manage a full spectrum of neurological conditions including:

  • Headaches and migraines
  • Sleep disorders
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
  • Epilepsy and seizure disorders
  • Stroke and cerebrovascular conditions
  • Movement disorders
  • Neuropathies and other neurological conditions

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests including:

  • Electromyography (EMG)
  • Electroencephalography (EEG)
  • CT scans
  • MRI imaging
  • Other specialized neurological assessments

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive, coordinated patient care
  • Provide consultation services to emergency department and hospitalized patients

Required Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree
  • Completion of neurology residency training
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Neurology
  • Valid Missouri medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
