Requisition Class: Locum – Physician – Family Practice (L03L1) Region: Cherokee Nation Title/Role: Physician Level 1 – Primary Care Status: Open Openings: 1 Start Date: 10/13/2025 End Date: 01/10/2026 Engagement Type: Contract

Shift: 8 hrs/day, 5 days/week (alternative 4x10 schedule available)

Board-Certified Family Practice or Internal Medicine physician needed to provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for adult patients in a clinic setting. This role includes routine care, drop-in visits, and acute care management. Providers will collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes while adhering to clinic standards and documentation requirements.

• Provide outpatient primary care to adult patients (15–20 per day initially, scaling up to 18–22).
• Manage routine, drop-in, and acute care visits.
• Document all patient encounters in Cerner EMR.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and occasional administrative time.
• Support patient-centered care processes and adapt to new clinic workflows.
• Optionally, providers may expand to see all ages, including pediatrics, if desired.
• Clinic Hours: 08:00–17:00
• Standard schedule: 5 days/week, 8 hrs/day
• Alternative schedule: 4x10-hour days (preferred, with patient volume target of 18–22/day).
• Ramp-up: Clinic volume will start at ~50% in October and gradually increase as new processes and EMR are implemented.
• Board Certification: Family Practice or Internal Medicine (required).
• Licensure: Active and unrestricted (must meet Oklahoma/Cherokee Nation standards).
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
• Experience: Outpatient primary care, Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred.
• Skills: Ability to manage diverse adult patient populations with excellent clinical, documentation, and communication skills.
