  • Overview: St. John’s Community Health is seeking an OB/GYN provider to deliver comprehensive reproductive healthcare in a patient-centered, team-based environment. Our mission is to serve the underserved and uninsured communities of South Los Angeles through quality medical, dental, and mental health services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Deliver prenatal, gynecological, and obstetric care across all ages and genders within scope of licensure
    • Conduct physical exams and routine in-office OB/GYN procedures (e.g., colposcopy, biopsies)
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests; develop and implement care plans
    • Provide prenatal and postnatal care, contraceptive counseling, and STI treatment
    • Prescribe medication and monitor treatment outcomes
    • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant EHR documentation
    • Collaborate with medical team and support staff to ensure comprehensive care
    • Educate patients on health maintenance, hygiene, and disease prevention
    • Refer patients for specialized care as needed
    • Supervise physician assistants (PA), nurse practitioners (NP), and support training of residents/students as assigned
    • Float to different clinic locations as needed, including on short notice in urgent situations
    • Meet productivity benchmarks (minimum 25 patients/day, per clinic goals)

    Required Qualifications:

    • MD or DO with OB/GYN residency training
    • Active California Medical License and DEA Certification
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3 years of residency
    • BLS Certification
    • Experience with Electronic Health Records (eClinicalWorks preferred)
    • Basic computer skills
    • HIV Certification preferred
