About the Role: Join AMOpportunities (AMO) as a clinical preceptor and mentor the next generation of healthcare professionals. AMO partners with over 75 accredited MD, DO, PA, and NP programs to facilitate high-quality clinical rotations. We are currently recruiting providers across Montana to support a new Clinical Hub serving 2026 Physician Associate (PA) and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) students.

This is part of a larger initiative to build a geographically connected training network focused on rural and community-based care. We are especially looking for providers in:

AMO handles all administrative logistics so you can focus on teaching. Preceptors receive a weekly stipend per student and can tailor the structure of rotations to fit their clinical practice.

Preceptor Responsibilities:

• Supervise students for a minimum of 36 hours/week during clinical rotations.
• Mentor through real-world care, case discussions, and optional didactics.
• Review and complete student evaluations and school-required documentation.
• Ensure alignment with AMO and school guidelines on supervision and patient safety.
• Assist with onboarding as needed and ensure affiliation agreements are signed by the correct entity.

Qualifications:

• Licensed MD, DO, PA, or NP with active board certification or licensure in Montana.
• Clinical focus in Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, or Women’s Health.
• Passion for teaching and supporting the rural healthcare pipeline.
• Commitment to improving access to care in underserved areas.

Compensation & Support:

• Weekly stipend per student (varies by amount student type).
• Full administrative support: scheduling, onboarding, compliance, malpractice.
• Dedicated AMO Program Coordinator to ensure a smooth experience.
• Flexible rotation scheduling—host as few or as many students per rotation as your practice allows.
