Gastroenterologist Needed – 6-Month Locums- No Call

We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterology Physician to provide inpatient GI/Endoscopy services across two hospital locations. This is a 6-month locum assignment with potential to extend until a permanent provider is hired. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in advanced endoscopic procedures, including ERCP and EUS.

Details:

• Start Date: August 17, 2026
• Contract Length: 6 months (ongoing potential)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
• Call: None
• Setting: Hospital (Inpatient Services)
• Locations: Greensboro, NC
• EMR: Epic (experience preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology consultations and management
• Perform endoscopic procedures including ERCP and EUS
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of GI conditions
• Collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary hospital teams
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric

Support & Practice Highlights:

• Dedicated APP support within the hospital
• Weekday-only schedule with no call or weekends
• Coverage across two well-established hospital sites
• Focus on inpatient care with procedural support

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Active state medical license (or ability to obtain/IMLC)
• DEA license required
• Proven experience performing ERCP and EUS
• Prior experience with Epic EMR preferred
