Leadership | Purpose-Driven Care | Transformative Impact
Addiction medicine is more than a specialty; it is a calling to rebuild lives and restore hope. We are seeking a compassionate, forward-thinking Medical Director to lead our treatment center. In this pivotal role, you will do more than oversee daily operations—you will set the gold standard for evidence-based, patient-centered recovery.
If you are a physician who wants to drive systemic change, mentor a dedicated clinical team, and have a direct voice in the strategic direction of a healthcare organization, this is your opportunity to lead with purpose.
The Impact You Will Make
- Elevate the Standard of Care: By directing medication protocols, overseeing physical examinations, and actively participating in weekly treatment team meetings, you will ensure every patient receives comprehensive, life-saving care tailored to their unique recovery journey.
- Empower and Mentor Clinicians: You will be the clinical cornerstone of our facility. By providing hands-on training, chart reviews, and continuous mentorship to nurses, NPs, PAs, and other physicians, you will multiply your impact and cultivate a culture of clinical excellence.
- Drive Strategic Vision: Your clinical insights belong at the executive table. You will participate in Quarterly Board Meetings to help shape strategic plans, quality assurance initiatives, and clinical protocols, ensuring that patient needs drive our organizational growth.
- Champion Holistic Health: Recognizing that addiction is just one piece of the puzzle, you will actively guide patients toward comprehensive wellness, seamlessly coordinating referrals to primary care providers for broader medical needs.
Core Responsibilities: As the Medical Director, you will hold ultimate clinical responsibility for the facility, balancing direct patient oversight with team leadership and compliance.
- Provide expert medical oversight and clinical supervision for a multidisciplinary team (NPs, PAs, Clinical Nurses, and Medical Assistants).
- Ensure comprehensive admission physicals, health examinations, and lab reviews are executed to the highest standard, utilizing physician extenders effectively.
- Direct patient medication protocols, including issuing change orders, guiding nursing staff on dosage adjustments, and ensuring uninterrupted care (including supporting medication labeling protocols when pharmacy staff is unavailable).
- Serve as the clinical escalation point for emergency management of patient care.
- Lead physician recruitment efforts, interviewing and selecting the next generation of compassionate providers for our team.
- Maintain rigorous clinical standards, ensuring the program complies with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding medically monitored treatment.
- Consult seamlessly with the Corporate Medical Director to align local clinic outcomes with broader organizational goals.
