SSM Health is seeking a compassionate and collaborative outpatient psychiatrist to join our behavioral health team in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. This position offers a flexible schedule, a supportive practice environment, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a community-focused setting.
Key Highlights
- 32-hour workweek with flexible scheduling
- Option to work remotely one day per week
- Outpatient-only practice with no inpatient responsibilities
- Average of 10–12 patients per day
- The patient base is largely established, offering continuity of care with a minimal number of new patients.
- Call rotation of 1:9, which involves managing patient messages and medication refills for providers on PTO, during business hours only
- Integrated care model with experienced support staff
- Epic EMR for streamlined documentation and coordination
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment for a diverse outpatient population
- Prescribing Suboxone, Clozaril, and LAIs will be required occasionally; comfort with these medications is ideal
- Coordinate care with internal team members
- Participate in call rotation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
Qualifications
- MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Wisconsin
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
- Comfortable working in a team-based, collaborative environment
