Responsibilities

Pediatrix® Medical Group seeks a per diem, experienced, board certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join its well-established practice in covering Tampa, Plant City and the surrounding areas.

  • This position will primarily cover the NICU at South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City, with the opportunity to rotate through the 76-bed Level-IV NICU at St Joseph Women's Hospital in Tampa
  • The group provides 24 hour in-house delivery room and newborn coverage at hospitals within the Baycare System
  • The neonatologists provide a combination of in-house and back-up call from home with either a Neo or NNP providing night coverage
  • A combination of neonatologists and pediatricians provide normal newborn coverage at the hospitals
  • The team consists of 16 neonatologists, 5 neonatal hospitalists and 14 NNPs who provide care to patients in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties

About South Florida Baptist Hospital

  • 7-bed Level II NICU
  • Located in Plant City, halfway between Tampa and Lakeland
  • Part of the Baycare family of health care facilities
  • Brand new facility that opened in Spring 2024

Qualifications

  • Current APRN national specialty certification
  • Minimum of a master’s degree
  • FL license required
  • Recent NNP experience required
