Golisano Children’s Hospital (GCH) at the University of Rochester Medical Center invites applications for the position of Chief of the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, an extraordinary opportunity to lead a nationally recognized, high-performing division at the only pediatric referral center serving the 17-county Finger Lakes region of New York.
The incoming Chief will inherit a division with deep clinical expertise, a vibrant fellowship training program, and a strong research culture, and will be positioned to expand and elevate all three missions within a well-resourced academic environment.
Position Responsibilities
• Clinical oversight of the PICU, PCCC, sedation service, and transport program
• Recruitment, mentorship, and development of faculty at all career stages
• Leadership of ACGME-accredited fellowship training programs
• Advancement of the division’s research agenda and scholarship
• Collaborative engagement with surgical and medical subspecialties
• Strategic program development and financial stewardship of the division
Qualifications
• MD or DO with Board Certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
• Eligible for medical licensure in New York State
• Academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor, or equivalent qualifications
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical care, scholarship, and program leadership
• Proven ability to recruit, mentor, and develop faculty
• Experience growing a research program within an academic medical center

Compensation Details
$375K–$475K
Productive, research & merit-based incentive bonuses. Tuition and continued education reimbursement benefits. Protected time and expense allowance for academic exploration, research, and CME. Relocation package.
