Practice Setting
- Hospital-based and ASC coverage
- Inpatient rounding
- Outpatient clinic and procedures
- Support includes 4 RNs, 1 NP/PA, 1 MA, and 4 office staff
- No teaching or APP supervision required
Schedule
- Only 1-2 weeks per month
- Outpatient: 8:00a–4:30p clinic hours
- Inpatient: 7:30a–3:30p procedure days
- Call is beeper-based; low callback frequency
- Work both settings or flex between as needed
Procedures and Cases
- Upper and lower GI endoscopy
- ERCP and EUS preferred
- Colonoscopy with polypectomy and biopsy
- Liver biopsy, PEG, variceal injections
- Full GI diagnostic and therapeutic capability preferred
Requirements
- NC license required
- Board-certified in Gastroenterology
- Fellowship trained
- BLS and ACLS are required
Credentialing Requirements
- Estimated credentialing: 90 days
- Hospital privileges required
