Community size: 2,000 in Kinder but has rural population of 25,000.  

Nearest Airport- 45 minutes to Lake Charles, 2.5 hours to Houston International Airport 

Start Date:  September 17th, 2024

Credentialing: 60-90 days 

Schedule: 14 days on, 14 days off 

GS Block Time: Once or twice per week, typically one full day and one-half day 

Availability to book shifts for a full year at a time 

2 clinic days per week  

Procedure room for minor cases 

Call: 24/7 call coverage for 2 week on-shift period

25 Inpatient Med/Surg Beds  

24 Behavioral Health Beds 

ED Services, OP Services that include lab, Imaging, Home Health & Physical Therapy 

2 Operating rooms 

 

Staffing Mix: OR Staff: 1 Circulating Nurse, 1 Scrub Tech, Anesthesia (CRNA) 

Subspecialty Support: Cardiology, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Podiatry  

EMR: CPSI 

ER Volume: 5,000/month 

Call Burden: 2-3 calls per shift assignment 

1-2 emergent surgeries per month  

     

Experience + Qualifications 

Board Certified 

Ability to perform full scope of General Surgery practice 

Must be able to perform upper and lower endoscopies 

Active LA License or the ability to obtain 

Compensation & Benefits 

Independent Contractor (1099) 

$2,700/day + 100/day travel stipend 

Malpractice Insurance Covered by RPG 

5 pre-op and 5 post-op rooms 2 OR rooms and 1 procedure room 3 or 4 Pre/Post-Op Nurses- Will cover both 14 to 20 ED visits per day Scrub dispenser- 2 to 1 for surgeons Will have their own MA Monday looks to be best full clinic day (Tuesday is busiest clinic day and ortho wants Fridays)
