Job Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine seeks applications to join a dynamic academic program as the Director of Echocardiography at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor (CT, CHS or tenure track). Candidates must be a BC/BE cardiologist and possess Level III training in echocardiography with an established track record in research and mentorship.

Responsibilities:

In this position, the candidate will provide leadership and oversight for our echocardiography labs at all UW Health locations and will work collaboratively with our partners in the Department of Radiology. They will be tasked with expanding our research portfolio/group within cardiac imaging, establishing an advanced cardiac imaging fellowship, and mentoring fellows and junior faculty within this area.

In addition to imaging and leadership duties, the position includes providing patient care on the inpatient cardiology services and outpatient clinics. The successful applicant will participate in administrative, and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members. The successful candidate will also be involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications:

For appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on the CT or CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CT or CHS Track.

License/Certification:

Required
Must be eligible for a WI Medical License.

Board eligible/board certified in internal medicine and cardiology
