  • The Medicine Institute at The Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is seeking a Division Chief to oversee its Division of Endocrinology. Responsibilities include day-to-day operations that inspire trust, collegial dialogue and collaboration in planning and problem solving. Partner with the Physician Chair of the Medicine Institute to further enhance the division by managing performance, providing education and research opportunities, developing new initiatives, implementing care process improvement plans, etc. Enjoy an environment that values diversity and supports colleagues to further enhance their talents do their best work.

    Division of Endocrinology Highlights:

    • Large practice of Board Certified Endocrinologists and dedicated APP’s
    • Certified Diabetes Educators on-site
    • Diabetes Chronic Care Specialty Team – Nurse Navigator, Pharm D, Registered Dietician, Behavioral Health Specialist and Social Services
    • Multispecialty Pituitary Center in conjunction with Neurosurgery
    • Monthly Thyroid Tumor Board
    • GME Fellowship with 4 fellows
    • Research opportunities:
    • Clinical Trials, Quality Improvement, Outcomes and Cost - Effectiveness Research with access to Health Plan claims data
    • Access to the Medicine Institute Bridge Patient Registry: clinical informatics and biobanking capabilities.
    • Access to a large team of research coordinators, regulatory and biostatistical support.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Mastery in the field of endocrinology
    • 5+ years leadership experience preferred
    • Completion of ACGME approved endocrinology fellowship
    • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Endocrinology
    • Pennsylvania medical licensure in good standing prior to employment
