Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare
Total Joint Orthopedic Surgeon | Lucrative Partnership Earning Potential (2-yr track) | ASC Ownership | Tallahassee, FL
Tallahassee, FL
Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare
Job Highlights
Full-time; Tallahassee, FL
Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic (TOC) is seeking a Fellowship-Trained Total Joint Orthopedic Surgeon to join the region's dominant orthopedic practice including four surgery centers, two surgical robots, and a 1-in-15 call rotation that is among the most favorable in private orthopedic practice anywhere.
The Perks
- Lucrative Earning Potential: Competitive base salary plus uncapped productivity bonus to start. At full partnership capacity, $1M+ is achievable through surgery center distributions, MRI, PT, DME and real estate.
- Exceptional Call Coverage: 1-in-15 rotation backed by three dedicated full-time trauma surgeons — the most favorable call structure in the market.
- Built-In Volume: Step into a practice with immediate volume and a strong regional referral network in place.
- Robotic Surgery Infrastructure: Mako and ROSA robotic systems available at the dedicated joint and spine surgery center. Full technology support from day one.
- Early Signing Bonus: Willing to sign fellowship candidates during training year and pay a stipend through graduation. Secure your future before competitors can make an offer.
The Opportunity
- Grow With one of the Southeast's Most Comprehensive Orthopedic Group: 35 physicians, 11 offices, and a footprint extending from Tallahassee to Panama City and into South Georgia. Total joint surgeons benefit from a fully built subspecialty ecosystem — sports medicine, spine, hand, foot and ankle, and dedicated trauma surgeons under one roof.
- Advance Into Partnership: Two-year track to equal-share partnership including surgery center and real estate.
- A Culture That Puts Patients First — and Protects Your Scope: Cross-specialty case routing is built into TOC's culture. Foot and ankle cases go to foot and ankle surgeons. Trauma cases go to dedicated trauma surgeons. You practice total joint — not everything that walks through the door.
Life in Tallahassee
- Affordable Florida: Low cost of living compared to Miami, Tampa, and Orlando — with all of the Florida lifestyle and none of the price tag. Income goes substantially further here than in any other major Florida market.
- The Other Florida: Rolling hills, canopy roads, a vibrant university community (FSU, FAMU), and Southern hospitality that surprises every candidate who visits.
- Coastal Access: The Gulf of Mexico is roughly 90 minutes away. World-class beaches without living on top of them.
- Capital City Energy: Home to Florida State University and the seat of state government — a mid-sized city with outsized culture, dining, arts, and community. An exceptional place to raise a family.
What You'll Bring
- Fellowship training in total joint arthroplasty
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Comfort with general orthopedic call (1-in-15; trauma surgeon infrastructure in place)
- Eligible for Florida medical license
- A partnership orientation — this model rewards surgeons who are building toward ownership
