Practice Setting
- High-volume CTHS service performing approximately 400 heart pumps annually.
Schedule
- Block Scheduling required: Friday night through Monday morning.
- Only 1-2 weekends per month — you pick the dates that work for you within the rotation.
- Additional PRN coverage available during staff PTO periods.
Procedures and Cases
- Required experience with Aortic Dissections and Emergency ECMO/Impella support.
- Rarely consults for CABG or cardiac trauma are needed on an emergent basis.
- High-acuity focus: primary coverage for emergent TCV procedures.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Current, Active State Licensure required for assignment.
- Comfortable managing a weekend call burden averaging 2-3 consults per day.
