The Duke University Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a Radiation Oncologist for a Medical Director role to focus on Proton Therapy at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.
Medical Director responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Establish protocols for the yet-to-be-opened Proton Center.
- Develop proton clinical protocols.
- Oversee the training of staff Radiation Oncologists.
- Support clinical research.
- Engage the surrounding medical community.
- Maintain highest standards.
- Keep abreast of the latest treatment indications for the delivery of proton therapy for our patients.
- Understand and monitor the changing reimbursement landscape.
- Includes multi-disciplinary clinics, tumor boards, and research initiatives.
