The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Heart and Vascular Institute is currently seeking a qualified Non-Invasive General Cardiologist to join our faculty.
This position is based at UPMC Mercy and in our South Hills office. The opportunity requires excellence in general clinical cardiology and may include opportunities in administration, research and teaching. The practice is supported by a team of physicians and advanced practice providers for collaboration and quality cardiovascular care.
Candidates should be focused on providing high quality patient care, be interested in building a robust clinical practice, and have the flexibility to work in both a tertiary care hospital and a growing practice in the South Hills of Pittsburgh.
Job duties include community based general cardiology coverage in both the inpatient and outpatient setting in the greater Pittsburgh region, including cardiology consultative services, critical care services, ECG analysis, interpretation of transthoracic echocardiograms and performance and interpretation of transesophageal echocardiograms and cardiac nuclear studies. These duties will be performed in rotation with other cardiologists within the practice. After-hours and weekend cardiology coverage will be shared among the group.
