Orthopedic Surgeon - Arthroplasty or Sports Medicine Part-Time Contracting Opportunity With San Mateo Medical Center

San Mateo Medical Center is actively seeking physicians to support our growing specialty team, comprising of general orthopaedics, foot/ankle, hand/upper extremity, and musculoskeletal/pain management services. We are looking for another surgeon with either arthroplasty or sports medicine expertise, as these are our biggest demands.
This part-time contract position will work with the Orthopedic team (3 surgeons, 2 PAs) to cover outpatient clinics, the Operating Room, the Inpatient units, and the Call for SMMC.
Preference is given to candidates who manifest flexibility and a strong work ethic. SMMC offers competitive compensation packages that are customized to fit the need of the individual physician. Medical directorship opportunities are also
available.
Expected Duties:
- 1-2 half-day clinics a week
- 1 -2 full days operating room coverage
- One week/month of call coverage (no trauma call)
Minimum Requirements:
- Completion of residency training in Orthopedic Surgery with additional training in joint arthroplasty or sports medicine
- Eligibility for an unrestricted California Medical License
- Eligibility and/or Certification by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery or its equivalent
