Join an Established Cardiac Surgery Team — Malpractice Covered — Flexible Schedule

Opportunity Highlights:

• Significant call pay — $4,000–$4,400/day for 24-hour call coverage (~12 days/month)

• Established, well-supported program — dedicated OR team, CVICU, 5 APPs, perfusionists in place
• 6-month assignment beginning October 2026 with strong potential for ongoing need

Job Details:

• Full case mix: CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, TCAR, thoracic, vascular, carotid, endo AAA
• Inpatient: 4–6 patients per day | Clinic: 6–7 consults per day (minimum 1 clinic day/week)
• Call: ~12 days/month (0700–0700); 1 weekend/month + weekday call 2 weeks/month
• Team: Surgeons, 5 APPs (NP/PA), perfusionists, dedicated OR and CVICU
• EMR: Epic

Requirements:

• Active Kansas medical license (IMLC state — active license required at start; candidates in process considered case-by-case)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Accredited CT Surgery residency/fellowship required
• BLS, ACLS, ATLS required to start
• Adult cardiac surgery experience required; thoracic and vascular preferred

About This Engagement:

• Independent Contractor (1099) arrangement — higher gross rate, full business expense deductibility
• ShareSTAFF provides malpractice insurance — you do not need to purchase your own policy for this assignment
• Kansas is an IMLC compact state — ShareSTAFF can assist with expedited Kansas licensure
• Submission requirements: CV, NPDB self-query, and candidate presentation template required with initial submission
• Start: October 2026 | Length: 6 months | Ongoing need anticipated — one surgeon retiring from program
