CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
- Active clinical practice in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Participation in the advancement and education of medical students, residents, and fellows
- Maintain flexibility in division clinical duty scheduling
- Participation in quality improvement activities
- Participation in hospital and/or university committee work
- Participation in academic research in the field of Infectious Diseases
- Provide leadership for academic projects in education, quality and safety or division/departmental administration

Thus, the incumbent will be expected to participate in didactic teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as attending and actively participating in seminars and other educational lectures. Teaching also includes participating in the supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows who are involved in direct patient care. As a faculty member, we also anticipate that you will be an active participant – attending meetings, Grand Rounds, and other University scholarly activities.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS
- Awarded degree of M.D. or D.O.
- Completed infectious diseases fellowship from an ABIM recognized fellowship program
- Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine
- Valid and unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply
- Board Certified/Board Eligible for Infectious Diseases
