The Columbia Center is seeking two (2) experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to provide comprehensive anesthesia care for veterans in a high-acuity surgical setting. The role includes coverage for regular hours, on-call responsibilities, holidays, and overtime as needed. The CRNA will be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality anesthesia services and supporting surgical care 24/7/365.

• Provide anesthesia services for scheduled surgeries, emergent procedures, and urgent care needs.
• Deliver pre-anesthetic evaluation, intra-operative anesthesia care, and post-anesthesia monitoring.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Participate in an on-call rotation providing coverage after hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Respond to emergencies requiring immediate anesthesia intervention.
• Adhere to VA policies, privacy regulations (HIPAA), and patient safety protocols.
• Report any safety incidents or patient complaints within 24 hours to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
• Collaborate with VA surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to deliver coordinated care.

Education & Certification:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia from a COA-accredited program.
• Active, unrestricted license to practice as a CRNA in any U.S. State, Territory, or District.
• Current certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred (required if assigned to a specialty clinic).

Experience:

• Minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience in the last three (3) years.
• Regular shifts: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
• On-call coverage begins after 3:30 PM daily until 7:00 AM the following day.
• Schedule includes weekends, holidays, and as-needed overtime to ensure 24/7 surgical care.
• A minimum of 80 hours per two-week period required (VA Full-Time Equivalent standard).
