Department of Surgery | Division of Urology Position: Assistant Professor (In Residence) – General Urology
Position Summary: UConn Health seeks a General Urologist for a full-time Assistant Professor (In Residence) faculty position within the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive general urologic care and contribute to the academic mission through teaching and potential scholarly activity. This role offers opportunities to engage in clinical care, medical education, and research within an academic health system committed to improving the health of Connecticut residents.
Minimum Requirements:
- M.D. or D.O. degree (or foreign equivalent)
- Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-accredited Urology residency program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology (or eligible within required timeframe)
- Eligibility for and ability to obtain a Connecticut medical license
- Demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive general urologic care
- Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment
Preferred Requirements:
- Prior clinical experience in general urology (post-training or fellowship exposure)
- Interest or experience in teaching medical students and residents
- Demonstrated involvement in research, quality improvement, or scholarly activity
- Interest in contributing to academic program development within an academic health center
- Alignment with UConn Health’s mission of integrating clinical care, education, and research to improve population health

Compensation Details
$425K–$500K
