Advanced Practice Provider - Hospitalist (Nocturnist) - Chicago

Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of Nocturnist Advanced Practice Provider to join their Rush University Hospitalist (RUH) team. This APP will work with an Attending physician in the care of general Internal Medicine patients. The role involves new admissions and cross-cover of medical patients. Rush University Hospitalists is a collaborative group of hospital medicine physicians and APPs who provide excellent care for patients with a variety of medical problems and diverse backgrounds.

* Collaborate with a wide network of specialty consults to manage patients
Preferred Qualifications:
- Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Hospital Medicine, Critical Care or related specialties are preferred, not required.
- APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification.
Position Requirements:
Nurse Practitioner:
- Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
- Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position
- Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
- CPR and ACLS certifications
Physician Assistant:
- Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
- Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program
- Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- CPR and ACLS certifications
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.
Rush has over 600 APPs across the enterprise that provide comprehensive patient care each day autonomously and in collaboration with other members of the health care team. Across the system, the APPs are supported by 4 levels of leadership, including 39 Lead APPs, three chief CRNAs, and a Senior Director of Advanced Practice Providers. Compensation Details
$121K–$166K
Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
