Job Summary:

The Division of Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting a Pediatric Sleep Medicine Physician who is board certified in sleep medicine. We are looking for candidates with a track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience.

The Division provides family-centered, community-based, culturally competent, coordinated, and interdisciplinary care. The multidisciplinary team consists of ten faculty, a clinical team of nurses, respiratory therapists, dieticians, physical and occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, social workers, behavioral psychologists, and research coordinators. We have a robust outpatient pediatric sleep program and sleep laboratory to perform polysomnography and treat children with a variety of sleep-related problems. The division also has active clinical and research programs in a number of other areas including cystic fibrosis, neuromuscular respiratory disease, aero digestive issues, and pulmonary hypertension.

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is a vibrant academic department comprising more than 200 faculty members in 16 subspecialty divisions. Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of an accredited residency program in general pediatrics is required.
  • Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Sleep Medicine is required.
  • Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Pulmonology is optional.
  • Experience in an academic medical setting preferred.
  • For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on the CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment or promotion to Associate Professor or Professor on the CHS Track.

MD, DO, or equivalent

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

  • Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics or equivalent is required.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Sleep Medicine is required.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology is optional.
  • Candidate is required to have or be eligible for a Wisconsin medical licensure.
  • Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges.
