Neonatal Physician Assistant in Jacksonville, FL - Affordable Coastal Living Responsibilities Pediatrix® Medical Group seeks an experienced Neonatal Physician Assistant to join our collaborative neonatology practice in Jacksonville, FL. • This is a full-time opening comprised of varying shifts ranging from 16 to 24-hours
• Provide Level II-II NICU care, including ventilator management, central line placement and chest tube insertion
• In addition to direct NICU patient care, the neonatal PA role involves normal newborn care and delivery attendance
• PAs are NOT responsible for transport
• Practice comprised of 7 neonatologists, 1 pediatrician and 16 advanced practice providers
• Practice covers 4 hospitals, this position responsible for coverage of 2 hospital NICUs in the same healthcare system
• Prefer candidates comfortable working autonomously with on-call neonatologist supervision

Qualifications

• Current certification through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Minimum of a master’s degree
• Applicants must have completed a Neonatal PA training program or have current PA experience in a Neonatal ICU
