This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Ambulatory Clinical Faculty Physician in Internal Medicine to join an employed position within a growing residency program at Ascension Milwaukee Hospitals. * Mentor the Next Generation: Serve as a premier role model for professionalism, dedicating sufficient time to supervise, teach, and cultivate an exceptional educational environment for residents and students in the clinic setting.
* Lead Clinical & Academic Rounds: Actively drive the program's academic mission by participating in organized clinical discussions, rounds, journal clubs, and conferences, while providing learners with real-time verbal and written feedback.
* Deliver Scholarly Patient Care: Evaluate and treat a diverse outpatient panel with advanced diagnostic skills, employing an evidence-based, scholarly approach to medicine that improves both individual and population health.
* Champion Quality & Resident Well-Being: Pursue continuous faculty development focused on clinical education, quality improvement, patient safety, and fostering the mental and physical well-being of both yourself and the residents.
* Partner with Program Leadership: Collaborate closely with the Program Director (PD) and Associate Program Director (APD) through annual performance reviews, teaching observations, and proactive communication regarding resident milestones.
* Document the Patient Journey: Capture clinical documentation with precision to meet regulatory and insurance standards, modeling meticulous administrative and clinical excellence for future physicians.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
