  • We are seeking an Endocrinology Physician to join our Endocrinology practice in Fridley, MN and other M Health Fairview community based clinics to support the expansion of services across the system.

    • Provide clinical care for patients with diabetes and/or other endocrine diseases in primarily an outpatient setting.
    • Join a team of community and academic Endocrinologists within the system.
    • Integral team member in the development and implementation of an Endocrinology service line in the M Health Fairview Care System.
    • In collaboration with the Endocrinology care leaders, will be responsible for oversight and organization of the Endocrinology Care Program within the clinic, while keeping the continuum of care progression at the forefront.
    • Provide exceptional care for patients across the full continuum of health care settings in the system.
    • Based in an outpatient clinical setting, provide a full spectrum of care including: diagnosis and management of diabetes and osteoporosis, disorders of the thyroid, adrenal, pituitary and parathyroid glands.
    • Consult with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment
    • Perform medical procedures as necessary
    • Assess patient health through interviews and physical examinations
    • Ordering, interpreting, monitoring diagnostic tests on medical conditions to determine a diagnosis
    • Prescribe medications and treatment plans
    • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
    • Attend leadership meetings.
    • Additional opportunities for research and teaching may be available.
    • Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
    • Openings: 1.0 FTE (Full Time), 40 hours (36 patient facing hours)

    University of Minnesota is seeking an outstanding physician scientist for a tenure-track position in the field of diabetes and obesity to participate in building a nationally-recognized research division within a growing department. The ideal candidate will have active external funding at the time of application and a proven track record in extramural funding, a history of collaborative research, and experience in teaching and mentoring.

    • Will maintain an active research program
    • Provide care to a panel of your own patients in our outpatient practice based at the M Health Fairview Clinic & Surgery Center in Minneapolis.
    • Provide up to 4 weeks of inpatient consult service per year at the University of Minnesota Medical Center.
