Outstanding Opportunity for a Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgeon at Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami
The Heart Institute at Nicklaus Children's Hospital is seeking a pediatric and congenital heart surgeon to join the team in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate will be board certified in Thoracic and Congenital Cardiac Surgery. A track record of technical excellence and strong interpersonal skills are desired. Candidates with several years of independent operative experience are preferred in order to divide cases between two surgeons. Annual surgical volume is approximately 350 cases. The Heart Institute at Nicklaus is the largest pediatric cardiac center in South Florida.
Nicklaus Children's Hospital is an affiliate of the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Our state-of-the-art Advanced Care Pavilion houses a 34-bed cardiac in-patient unit with an adjustable acuity model that allows all rooms to accommodate critically ill patients with heart disease.
The Kenneth C. Griffin Surgical Tower
Nicklaus Children's Health System opened the Kenneth C. Griffin Surgical Tower in September 2024. This five-story, 131,000-square-foot facility elevates the hospital's surgical capabilities, combining a patient-centered environment with cutting-edge technology. The Griffin Surgical Tower, located in the heart of the campus, features state-of-the-art operating rooms equipped with the latest technology and surgical teams.
