Requirements We will be 2-2.5 FTE out of 6 short in the next few months. Position specific questions · Reason for the need? Open shifts maternity leave · Is there a specific start date needed? EMR training? 2 shadow shifts Candidate Parameters · Any specific fellowships/ certifications/ procedures/ competencies we are looking for? Board certified EM or FM preferred. · Experience level? Any experience level non-EM boarded who are comfortable with gyn and peds patients accepted. Credentialing questions: · Will emergency privileges be an option? Temps will be considered · Are case logs needed? If so what are the requirements? Standard HCA credentialing requirements Hospital/unit questions · Number of beds? 11 · Census? 15000-16000 pts per year or 30-40 patients/day · How many daily admissions? 4-5 patients per day or ~ 13 admission rate from ED · Are there any consults and if so how many per day? Standard call services pediatrics. · What’s the patient population? Young and generally healthy · Trauma center? Types of cases? Acuity? Low acuity. This is not a trauma stroke or cardiac center. Few EMS. · What does the support staff look like? Standard ED nursing and support staff. LampD located in hospital and separate from ED. Low to mid acuity GI symptoms gyn peds Annual ER admissions? 4-5 patients per day or ~ 13 admission rate from ED Does the unit use robots? If so what kind? N/a How often are the locums called back on site if on call? N/a · How many EM physicians are typically on staff per shift? 2 ED physicians and 1 pediatrician are scheduled per day.
