OBGYN Opportunity in Knoxville, Tennessee | Academic Medical Center | Level I Trauma Center

Join a hospital-employed OB/GYN group within a major academic medical center, where private-practice autonomy meets the resources and support of a tertiary referral hub serving over a million people across East Tennessee.

The Practice

  • General, full-scope OB/GYN with a roughly 50/50 split between obstetrics and gynecology
  • Flexible schedule with 2 to 3 clinic days per week and optional outreach clinics; physicians manage their own surgery schedules
  • Call is 4 overnight in-house shifts per month at 12 to 15 hours each, with OB hospitalist support; the day of and day after call are protected from clinic duties
  • Clinic, triage, L&D, and ORs are all co-located, with dedicated OB/GYN surgical suites and accessible robotic block time
  • Volumes run 20 to 28 patients per day in clinic with 10 to 12 deliveries per month, backed by a Level III NICU and an MFM team of 8 physicians and 3 fellows

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary of $280,000 in year one, rising to $300,000 by year three, with an RVU threshold of 5,500 wRVUs and bonus potential up to $530,000 in total earnings
  • $20,000 annual quality bonus
  • 32 days of PTO inclusive of CME, vacation, and sick leave
  • PSLF-eligible employer with 403(b) and 457 retirement plans and a 10% employer contribution
  • Competitive sign-on and relocation bonus negotiated directly with the hospital
  • Full benefits including malpractice with tail coverage, health, dental, and vision

You’ll Need

  • MD or DO, Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
  • Comfort with full-scope OB/GYN care in a high-volume academic setting
