Physician – Endocrinologist – Cooperstown, NY

 

Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking full-time BC/BE Endocrinologist.

Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated health care system that provides care and services to people living in an eight-county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York.

​

Job Description & Responsibilities

·         Join an established group of 3 physicians, 2 diabetes advanced practice clinicians, and 3 diabetes nurse specialists

·         Outpatient endocrinology clinic care with shared in-patient call responsibilities

·         Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients who have endocrinopathies including disorders of the pituitary, parathyroid, thyroid, adrenals, pancreas, metabolism and bone disease Provide appropriate follow-up care of patients (both in-clinic and remote)

·         Collaborate with other specialties (such as endocrine surgery, nuclear medicine, nephrology, cardiology, neurosurgery, interventional radiology, among others) in the care of patients with endocrinopathies

·         Supervision and teaching of medical residents and students in both outpatient and inpatient settings

·         Opportunities for supported clinical research and quality improvement work

·         Active involvement in division meetings, quality improvement work and CME (such as Medicine Grand Rounds)

·         Salary Range: $234,449 - $274,976. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards

·         Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap.  Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.

·         Sign-on Bonus up to $100,000

·         Group Employed Model

 

Job Qualifications

·         MD, DO or MBBS

·         Board Eligible or Board Certified

·         NYS Licensure

·         BLS Certification Required

·         DEA Required
