Position Overview

Newport Medical Center – Tennova Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN physician to join its growing, hospital-employed practice in Newport, TN. This is an opportunity with an established patient base and strong referral network, offering the chance to quickly build volume and expand services in an underserved market.

Practice Highlights

  • Hospital-employed model with on-site clinic
  • Established patient volume: 15–25 patients per day
  • Practice mix: ~70% GYN / 30% OB
  • Collaborative environment with 1 OB/GYN, 1 NP, and support staff (MAs)
  • Mentorship available
  • EMR: Athenahealth, Cerner, and Suki AI dictation

Schedule & Call

  • Clinic: 5 days/week (8 AM – 5 PM)
  • OR: 1–2 days/week
  • Call: ~10 days/month (rotating)

  • Always 1 OB + 1 GYN on call
  • Option to take additional call if desired

Procedures & Facilities

  • Dedicated OR space
  • Guaranteed block time (details available during interview)
  • No robotics required

Candidate Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified in OB/GYN (required)
  • Eligible for Tennessee medical licensure
  • Prior experience preferred (open to strong new graduate candidates)
