ER – Locums | Critical Access Hospital | Nights Available

We are seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum coverage in a Critical Access Hospital setting. This is a great opportunity for physicians comfortable working independently.

Position Details:

• Schedule Details: The need is for about 10 shifts per month; for 3 month assignment. Mostly night shifts, with some day shifts
• Setting: Critical Access Hospital Emergency Department
• ED Volume: ~20–24 patients/day
• Patient Flow: ~2.5–3 patients/hour
• Beds: 25
• Patient Population: All ages (~14% pediatrics)
• EMR: Epic

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute and emergent conditions
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critical patients
• Manage a wide range of cases across all age groups
• Work independently in a rural/community ED setting
• Document all patient encounters in Epic

Requirements

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (REQUIRED) – no IM or FM
• Active Massachusetts medical license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA (MA) required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience
• Comfortable working nights and in lower-resource settings
