Reporting to the Department Chair and building upon a robust DE&I infrastructure in the Department, this Vice Chair will provide vision and leadership in promoting and advancing a departmental culture that fully values, supports, and understands diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and its importance in providing the best possible patient care.

This leader will report to the Chair of the Department of Radiology and will work closely with the Chair and Radiology Department leadership teams, the College of Medicine (COM) Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion, the COM Vice Dean for Faculty Affairs, and other institutional leaders. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate cultural awareness, build trust and credibility, and collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders to achieve operational goals.

Requirements

  • Candidates should hold an M.D., D.O., or Ph.D. (or equivalent to these degrees), and should be eligible for a faculty position within the Department of Radiology (OSU College of Medicine).
  • Appointment rank and salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience in executing DE&I initiatives in radiology.
  • Ideal candidate will have a collaborative, team-based leadership style, and the ability to build relationships and lead through influence.
