Texas Children’s Hospital – North Austin Campus seeks Emergency Medicine Physicians to provide patient care in the Emergency Center in Austin, TX.

The Baylor College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, Division of Emergency Medicine, in association with Texas Children's Hospital, is seeking Emergency Medicine physicians, within the highly respected Emergency Medicine Division.

Set to open in February 2024, our new state-of-the-art full-service hospital in Austin will increase access to quality healthcare for children and women across central Texas. Join the Texas Children’s team in expanding our standard of care for families across the state. This position is a rare opportunity to participate in the start, growth, and expansion of a BRAND-NEW medical facility and campus aimed to serve the growing population of Austin, Texas. This is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up with the support and resources of a nationally ranked Children’s Hospital.

Job Description Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician

• Core privileges including the performance of high stakes and other procedures performed during emergency care delivery.
• Experience treating acutely ill and injured infants, children, and adolescents 0 -21 years of age.
• Experience treating patients in Level 2 trauma center.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicants must have an M.D., or D.O or (equivalent degree), and be:
• ABEM or ABP Board certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
  • or ABEM Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine with experience or specials interest in pediatric emergency medicine (e.g., EM/PEDS combined residency, Emergency Physician with experience working in a children’s ER, etc.)
• The candidate selected for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active Texas medical license. (Licensed by the Texas Medical Board)
