Physician – Heart Failure Cardiologist – Cooperstown, NY

​

Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our staff.

​

The faculty practice consists of 15 cardiologists, 2 surgeons, and 18 advanced practice clinicians. The Bassett network includes over 500 employed practitioners.

​

Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated health care system that provides care and service to people living in an eight-county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields.

Job Description & Responsibilities

Provide clinical and consultative care within the hospital and office setting. From prevention and detection to surgery and rehabilitation, Bassett provides a full range of cardiovascular services testing including MRI, CT, echo and nuclear cardiology. To include:

· Academic appointment with Columbia University, and clinical affiliation with their advanced heart failure service

· Outpatient, Inpatient and Regional Patient Care

· Teaching of cardiology fellows, internal medicine residents, and Bassett-Columbia medical students

· Salary Range: $500,000 - $545,000. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards

· Sign-on bonus up to $100,000

· Group Employed Model

· Cardiac Cath Lab with STEMI and structural program

· Electrophysiology program with full range of device implantation and ablation programs

· Cardiac surgery service

Qualifications

· MD, DO or MBBS

· Board Eligible/Board Certified in ABIM Cardiovascular Disease

· New York State Licensure

· BLS & ACLS Certifications Required

· DEA Required
