Our unopposed, 7-7-7 program has a longstanding reputation of graduating well-trained family physicians. The program has strong specialist support, and our community hospital offers nearly all service lines found in large academic institutions.

    We have an opportunity available to join our dynamic faculty in continuing our tradition of excellence. We are seeking a Board-certified Family Medicine physician for a Core Faculty position. This new faculty member will provide full spectrum Family Medicine including outpatient medicine (including pediatrics, geriatrics and women's health), and inpatient rounding at UPMC Washington Hospital. The successful candidate will have broad-based clinical skills with a strong desire to teach residents and medical students. In additional to direct patient care, responsibilities include teaching/role modeling/mentoring for our family medicine residents and medical students, faculty advising/collaboration, and didactic teaching.

    We provide excellent clinical and didactic training to our residents and offer exceptional care to our patients in three unique office locations. UPMC Washington's Family Medicine Centers, located in Canonsburg, Cecil, and Washington, are staffed by board-certified Family Medicine physicians and Family Medicine residents who are committed to providing high-quality family medical care. Our practice employs a psychiatrist and social worker, who work closely with our physicians to provide multi-disciplinary care to our patients.

    Position detail:
    * Family Medicine or Med-Peds MD or DO(Board-Certified or Board-Eligible). No OB required
    * Full-time, permanent, hospital-employed position.
    * Call: ~3 times/month (phone call only), weekends (with rounding) every 6-8 weeks
    * Competitive salary and benefits, including a generous CME allowance and association with several affiliated medical schools
    * Full malpractice coverage with tail
    * Program pays professional membership fees (AAFP, PAFP, etc.) and license fees (DEA, etc.)
