National Grid is seeking a Nurse Practitioner III to support employee health and safety at the North Albany Operating Headquarters. The role involves direct medical care, consultation, and case management for employees experiencing work-related injuries or illnesses. The practitioner will ensure compliance with DOT and OSHA standards, oversee return-to-work efforts, and support workforce wellness.

• Perform physical exams and Respiratory Fit Testing (RFT) in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Manage on-site health office and provide walk-in medical services.
• Conduct pre-employment physicals, injury treatment, and drug & alcohol testing (pre-employment, random, and reasonable cause).
• Evaluate compliance with OSHA safety standards and participate in regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to support return-to-work processes.
• Analyze health trends, incidents, and maintain accurate documentation for senior stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with internal departments and external medical professionals.
• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) or other qualifying discipline for a PA Master’s program.
• MSN Nurse Practitioner or Master of Physician Assistant Studies, Health Science, or Medical Science.
• Board Certification from:
• American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or
• National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Strong interpersonal and case management skills.
• Experience in occupational health or related medical settings preferred.
• Not a safety-sensitive position
• No NY State Engineering License or Prevailing Wage required
